The problem Every ad for an accounting assistant or office coordinator is a company saying in public: “we have repetitive work and we’re about to pay ~€55k a year for it.” It’s the warmest sales lead there is, yet nobody sells to it, because qualifying and reaching each one takes hours.
What we built Applicant Zero applies for the job, with Velho as the applicant:
1. Finds routine office roles on Duunitori. In our run, 63 of 154 ads were a fit. (in like 20minutes)
2. Analyses each role task by task. Example: 65 % automatable, ~€38k/year saved.
3. Writes a surprising application, “the applicant who works 24/7 and never takes sick leave”, plus a one-page proposal built from the ad’s own task list.
4. Fills the real application form in ~6 s across 5 different ATS systems: the CV, the Velho logo as the profile photo, every field and every consent box. If there's a free form text field, it writes a personalised sales pitch there.
5. Reaches the decision-maker. It finds and ranks the CEO/CFO, then drafts a Gmail email and a LinkedIn message.
A human always presses send. No guessed emails, no auto-submit, no LinkedIn automation.
How it works and what’s AI
A python pipeline, with Claude reasoning at every step via OpenRouter API. 1. Search: Playwright scrapes Duunitori.fi listings with certain keywords, such as "laskuttaja, toimisto-assistantti, kirjanpitäjä-assisentti".
2. Analysis. Claude Opus 5.5 then scores the job listings based on how automatable are the jobs tasks. Then it gets put to the list on the web app.
3. By a click of a button, Playwright automatically fills out the job application form on a separate window with pre-saved information and Claude generated pitch. And it generates a personalised pitch PDF explaining what Velho could possibly do for the company, and adds the pdf to the CV-part of the application. "Submit application" buttons are hard-blocked for the agent.
4. Once an application has been submitted, it moves to the "sent" tab and the agent searches for the companys leaders email adress and linkedin profile. On the "sent" tab, by the press of a button opens an gmail tab with a Claude generated personalised email draft suggesting that they work with Velho instead of hiring an employee. Same with linkedin, but it opens the leaders profile and copies the draft message to clipboard.
The idea is, that the idea of an AI applicant is bizarre enough, so it creates discussion inside the company, and makes its way to the CEOs ears. In case not, Velho can reach out to the leaders straight through step 4.
Costs: It costs under €0.25 per lead in Claude API usage: about €0.01 for the analysis, €0.05 for the application and €0.10–0.15 for the decision-maker search and outreach. Scraping and form filling run locally for free
What’s next 1. Pilot with Velho and measure meetings against cold outreach. Send followups through the sent tab afterwards. 2. Add the Työmarkkinatori API and other job-marketplaces, reply tracking and CRM export. 3. Add tracking and A/B testing to the sales texts, emails and linkedin messages
