Velho asked for a tool that gets meetings. Handoff explores a different customer acquisition model: help an employee solve a task, then give them a concrete proposal to bring to their manager.
1. The problem Busy buyers ignore generic AI pitches. Employees experience the operational problems Velho could solve, but those problems need to reach decision makers.
2. What I built A working web app that gives employees a useful result and a manager-ready automation proposal. The acquisition idea is to earn an internal introduction through useful work.
3. How it works AI extracts facts from an operational email. The employee reviews them, exports a CSV and creates a pilot brief using their workload figures. Their incentive to share it: getting recurring work improved.
4. What’s next Introduce Handoff through Velho’s prospect conversations or events. Test whether useful results lead to employee recommendations and qualified meetings.
The workflow works. Meeting conversion remains to be tested. Demo data and timing assumptions are clearly labelled illustrative. Nothing is sent automatically, and human review remains essential.
Why not just use ChatGPT? They can. Handoff connects extraction, human review, workload calculations and a manager brief in one guided workflow. The idea is to make an internal recommendation easier.
How does the employee find it? Velho introduces it through existing prospect conversations or events. A manager can invite a team member to try one recurring task. Initial adoption does not depend on organic discovery.
How does Velho benefit? The proposed acquisition model gives Velho a concrete workflow, reviewed example and potential internal champion to discuss. Sales can offer a useful task demonstration, then use a voluntarily shared brief to scope a conversation.
How does the manager receive it? The employee copies or downloads the brief and shares it through their normal internal channels. It explains the task, workload assumptions, unresolved issues and proposed pilot with Velho. Sharing is voluntary; the tool sends nothing automatically.
